Yesterday was the closing day of the AHR Expo 2009 in Chicago at McCormick Place.  Despite very cold winter temperatures in Chicago, the show turnout was exceptional!

VAU Heat Transfer, Inc.’s North American launch of the VAU Blockbuster brazed plate heat exchanger product line-up was met with much enthusiasm by show visitors.

VAU Heat Transfer, Inc., the North American manufacturing and distribution subsidiary of VAU Werkzeug- und Gerätebau GmbH & Co, KG, commenced operations in December, 2008, in Kingman, Arizona, and currently distributes the VAU Blockbuster line of brazed plate heat exchangers, made in VAU Werkzeug’s ISO-9001 certified, Munich, Germany facility.

The VAU Blockbuster product-lineup features several different models and plate-counts and competes head-on with brazed plate heat exchanger offerings from competing manufacturers.

Many of VAU Heat Transfer’s booth visitors at the AHR Expo were impressed with the fit and finish of the units, as well as the unique, form-fitted, self-sealing insulated enclosures, which are available for all models of the VAU Blockbuster. In addition to many wholesalers, contractors, and installers, VAU Heat Transfer’s booth visitors included several personnel from competing manufacturers, interested in learning more about VAU’s products.

“The brazed plate heat exchanger has become a commodity product in an ever-growing market segment of the heat exchanger business....” said VAU Heat Transfer’s General Manager, Kent Luken. Luken continued “the North American market for brazed plate heat exchangers has many competitors and good product offerings. End-users expect a quality product at a competitive price. We believe we have the right product and can be competitive. We’re very optimistic about our future. This show (the AHR Expo) has shown us that there’s room for another player in the BPHE market.”
